Louisville CO, January 24, 2008 – Optica Technologies Incorporated, the leader in mainframe connectivity and security solutions, is pleased to announce that Mr. Dilip Maher recently joined the company as the General Manager of its Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region.

Mr. Maher’s primary responsibility is to generate and manage revenue growth in EMEA through expansion of Optica’s direct and channel partner sales programs. Prior to joining Optica, Dilip had wide-ranging experience with Computer Network Technology Corp. (CNT), which is now part of Brocade, where he sold mainframe connectivity solutions. Most recently, he managed EMEA for NeoScale Systems where he gained extensive security (encryption) experience. “Dilip has the perfect combination of mainframe and security skills to have an immediate impact on Optica’s sales efforts,” said Optica’s VP Sales, Michael Dailey. “And, he has a proven track record of successfully growing EMEA-based businesses for both CNT and Neoscale.”

Separately, Optica announced that Mr. Al Walker joined the company in the fourth quarter of 2007 as Regional Sales Manager for the western US. Mr. Walker also has broad experience in mainframes and security, which he gained in tenures with CNT and Neoscale. Mr. Dailey commented, “Al brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to Optica.
